Over the summer our arts and media programs have been really fruitful, we have run a range of arts, digital and filming projects for young people across the borough. Shannon has been learning about art through creating a commission for the Sheppey hlc reflecting the town of Sheerness, check out Shannon at work on this 2 min you-tube VIDEO.
Our projects have been made possible by a grant from Colyer Fergusson which has so far enabled 45 young people to take part in art and media activities across the borough of Swale. They can also gain a valuable qualification in the form of an arts award. Shannon created a 5 foot by 4 foot canvas, her Arts award progress on her arts award facebook page can be viewed by clicking HERE.
FILMING NEWS
Shannon spent the day with Sheppey FM filming behind the scenes of the hit TV show DIY SOS, so far she has had over 6,000 views of her video. Since starting on our programs Shannon has been volunteering her time in the office, helping out on art projects and learning new skills to support her going into paid employment.
