Here are some examples of past and present activities that young people have participated in through our After school and youth clubs and previous Summer Programmes.
They have engaged in building Lego architecture, using their imagination in designing t-shirts and canvas bags. The use of modelling clay to mould and make mythical creatures. Developing life and kitchen skills whilst looking at healthier food options with our Community Chef.
Other activities have included and do include other forms of Art & Crafts from card making , Easter and Christmas themed sessions, painting, using chalk, sewing ,decorating tiles amongst other things.The young people were also involved in designing and participated in the mural on the sea wall at Beachfields. Other activities on offer are drawing, board games, quizzes all enabling young people the opportunity to interact and engage with each other, have conversations and have fun.
Summer Activities/programmes have included visiting an outdoor activity centre where they could challenge themselves with new activities as well as gaining physical activity. They participate in Archery, rock wall climbing, den building and challenges in working in teams whilst developing positive relationships and friendships, all whilst building self esteem and confidence, physical and mental health wellbeing. The young people have also visited a Forest school enabling to meet the animals close- up as well as petting and feeding them. Ten pin bowling that enables them to play in a competitively but in a positive way.
